Total Immersion in Ireland

Anglophiles Academic is a language center offering summer camps and language training abroad. It has been on the market for almost 40 years and organizes English language courses in the UK, France, Ireland, the USA, Canada, China and other countries. Its mission is to provide high-quality teaching and meaningful experiences for young people, to introduce them to new challenges and to enrich their lives with excitement and enjoyment.

Total Immersion/Semi-Immersion is a spring and summer program (April, July and August) that does not include language classes but instead gives students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the daily life of a typical Irish family. It takes place in the town of Mallow – a small, beautiful country town 48 km from Cork. The people in the town are exceptionally warm and welcoming.

The program has 2 options:

• Total Immersion– the student spends all of their time with the host family and takes part in their daily life – from shopping to cooking and leisure activities in their free time. The student should be motivated and fairly independent, as they will partly need to explore the area on their own.
• Semi-Immersion– the student spends all of their time with the host family and takes part in their daily life – from shopping to cooking and leisure activities in their free time. Two afternoons a week there are sports activities, and every week there is a full-day excursion.

Students stay with carefully selected Irish families who provide 3 meals a day.
